Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alecia Sifuentes met with Director of Operations Carla Cooper, Area Manager Monica Williams, and Center Director Don Lilly for the purpose of a case management inspection. Licensee requests a decrease in capacity and infant age range change for 48 infants ages 0-24 months and 16 toddlers ages 18-36 months. The fire clearance (STD850) was granted and received on 5/15/2024. The program currently operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are four infant classrooms located in rooms #5, #7, #9, and #11 A/B and one toddler classroom located in room #2. LPA used current measurements from report dated 10/20/2022, therefore LPA did not take measurements for rooms #2, #9, and #11 A/B. LPA measured rooms #5 and #7 due to the Licensee adding crib sleeping areas. Toddler room #2 contains a total of 1,022 square feet which will accommodate Licensee’s request for 16 toddlers. Infant room #5 contains a total of 574 square feet, infant room #7 contains a total of 553 square feet, infant room #9 contains a total of 811 square feet, and infant room #11 A/B contains a total of 814 square feet for a total infant rooms’ indoor square footage of 3,245 square feet which will accommodate Licensee’s request for 48 infants. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheet (LIC 9024)

There are two toilets and three sinks located in room #2, three sinks located in room #5, three sinks located in room #7, three sinks located in room #9, and three sinks located in room #11 A/B for a total of 2 toilets and 15 sinks available for the infants and toddlers.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There is one infant outdoor area (infant playground C) and two toddler outdoor areas (toddler playground A and C) on the property. LPA used current measurements from report dated 10/20/2022, therefore LPA did not take measurements. Infant playground C contains a total of 996 square feet, toddler playground A contains a total of 10,974 square feet, and toddler playground C contains a total of 2,000 square feet for a total outdoor square footage of 13,970 which will accommodate Licensee’s request for 48 infants and 16 toddlers.

Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Area Manager, Monica Williams.

The following items are required before a license will be issued:
1. Proof of 3 units in Infant Care/Dev. for Director.
