25 | On June 22nd, 2023 at approximately 9:55 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) April Wright arrived for an unannounced Required-1 Year inspection, and met with Center director Gowthaman Subbarayalu. Present today were sixteen (16) infants and seven (7) fingerprint cleared staff members present during the inspection. The facility is in ratio today. The facility was toured for a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm.
CLASSROOMS: Infant Center has 3 classrooms (Rainbow, Shooting Stars and Room #3). There are adequate play and learning materials available. The floors, furniture, and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. There is adequate heating/air conditioning, ventilation and lighting for safety and comfort. There is proper individual storage space for each Infant. The isolation area for sick children, indoor play area which away from other children in care. The center has smoke detectors, working telephone, and a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher. At least one person trained in CPR/First aid is present at the facility when children are at the facility. Per Director, there are no weapons or firearms present in the center.
BATHROOMS AND DIAPER CHANGING AREAS: The staff's bathroom is separate from the classrooms, located in the lobby area and are clean, sanitary and in good condition. There a three (3) changing stations available, one per classroom for infants. Infant room have portable sinks that are used as needed and clean at time of inspection.
FOOD SERVICE AREAS: This facility does not provide snacks to infants in care. All infant food is brought form home and is labeled with each infants name. Food is stored in insulated lunch bags/food bags in each classroom. All storage containers for solid waste have tight fitting covers that are in good condition and repair. Facility has a refrigerator which is clean and free of evidence of rodents, vermin or insects.
