25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jyoti Saini and Kassandra Medrano conducted a Case Management Inspection at the facility to process a request for a decrease in licensed capacity. LPAs met with Director Claudia Aguilar. The facility was originally licensed to serve 300 preschool children across 15 classrooms (Rooms 1–15), including the Multi-Purpose Room, STEM Lab, Art Studio, and Music/Library Room. The facility has requested a decrease in capacity to 125 preschool children and will operate a private elementary school in Rooms 1–2 and 8–15. The facility understands that preschool and elementary children may not be commingled at any time. Present during the inspection were the Director and nine staff members supervising 72 preschool children. The center operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and has obtained an approved fire clearance from Dublin Fire Prevention Services.
A health and safety inspection were conducted indoors and outdoors, with indoor measurements (Rooms 3–7) totaling 4,386.27 square feet, allowing for 125 children, and outdoor space totaling 9,659.44 square feet, accommodating 128.79 children.
The facility has eight toilets, three urinals, six sinks, and five additional sinks. The staff have separate bathrooms. The director confirmed there are no bodies of water nor firearms on the premises. Preschool rooms are equipped with age-appropriate materials and equipment.
Prior to licensure, the facility must obtain approval from the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) for a waiver request regarding the shared use of the outdoor yard space with staggered schedules, as well as the shared use of the Multi-Purpose Room, STEM Lab, Art Studio, and Music/Library Room. Final determination of the waiver request will be made at the discretion of CCLD management.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for a period of 30 days.
Appeal rights were given. An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with director, Claudia Aguilar. |
