25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Director Kruthi Rajagopal for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the director. The Executive Director, Gagandeep Tulsi, arrived during the inspection.During the health and safety inspection, LPA observed 63 children, the director, the assistant director, and 7 staff members present. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, utilizing Rooms #3 through #7. Room #7 is designated exclusively for the toddler component; however, no toddlers were present during today’s inspection. The facility also holds a Heritage license, which operates separately in Rooms #1, #2, and #8. The licensee understands that children enrolled in the Heritage program must not be commingled with children enrolled in the childcare program licensed by CCLD.
The facility is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and a functional telephone. No bodies of water were observed, and the director confirmed that there are no firearms on the premises. The center is in good condition, maintains appropriate temperature and ventilation, and is free from hazards. Each classroom contains age-appropriate furniture and toys in good repair.A first aid kit and backpack are available, and medications are stored in cabinets inaccessible to children. A medication review confirmed that all medications are up to date. Children bring their own lunches, and the facility provides snacks. According to the fire drill log, the last drill was conducted on 5/20/2026.The facility utilizes the Procare system for signing children in and out. Eight children’s files and six staff files were reviewed. Opening and closing staff have current CPR and First Aid certifications.The outdoor play area is fenced for supervision, and the play structure has cushioning to absorb falls. There are three separate playgrounds assigned to toddlers, preschoolers, and the Heritage program. The toddler playground has a sunshade installed to provide shade for the children.The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained.
