25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melanie Otsuji arrived to the facility announced to conduct the pre-licensing inspection of a relocation. LPA met with applicant Vinay Verma. Present during today's visit was co-Licensee, Neelkamal Verma, and a fingerprint cleared assistant.
Facility has relocated to a newly built ADU on their existing property. The ADU has it's own address. The two story ADU was toured for a Health and Safety Inspection. The ON LIMITS areas are: the classroom, bathroom and front yard The OFF LIMITS areas are: Kitchen, second floor, and garage. LPA inspected and verified that the fire extinguisher, 2A10BC is fully charged, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and home phone are in working condition. The home provides appropriate toys, learning materials and play equipment that are safe to use and appeared to be well maintained.
Per applicant, day care hours of operation will primarily be Monday through Friday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. The licensee provided proof of control of property.
Facility received an approved fire clearance inspection from Fremont Fire Department on 10/9/2023 with the conditions that the second floor and garage remain off limits. |
