25 | On this day, February 13, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Delmundo arrived unannounced to conduct a health and safety inspection as a result of the Department receiving a priority 1 complaint (Complaint # 15-AS-20230209091605). LPA met with Business Office Manager Robert 'Rob' Roby, and informed the reason for visit. LPA also met with Resident Services Director Shanina Mason
LPA toured the facility including but not limited to common areas, dining rooms, kitchen, medication rooms, activity rooms/areas, and shared bathrooms and common bathrooms on the first and second floors. LPA observed the medication rooms open and attended by med-techs. LPA observed the storage in Memory Care Unit and the salon in Assisted Living Unit locked. LPA randomly selected for inspection a total of 5 resident rooms on the first and second floors. LPA tested the water temperature in 2 of the bathrooms on the first floor.
LPA observed the following:
1. Hot water temperature at 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Unlocked Tylenol and Clobetasol cream in resident's (R1) room. Review of LIC602A Physician's Report showed R1 can not store and administer own prescription, non-prescription and PRN medications.
Deficiencies are cited from Title 22 California Code of Regulations and listed on 809D. Failure to submit proof of corrections by plan of correction due dates, and any repeat violation within 12 month period may result in civil penalties.
Deficiencies and plan and proof of corrections were discussed.
Exit interview conducted. Appeal Rights, LIC9098 Proof of Correction form and copy of this report provided. |
