32 | During a complaint visit on 03/06/23, physical plant issues were observed to include checking to see if the facility had the appropriate number of adult incontinence products (pull up diapers or tabbed diapers). The closet was checked and there were approximately three small packages of incontinence products, pull up diapers but only in a size medium. Outside, the garage was checked for incontinence products. The garage had numerous tabbed diapers; however nearly all were in a size medium.
Not all residents wear a size medium and not all residents wear a tabbed diaper. The facility did not have an appropriate number of incontinent products to meet the needs of 32 residents.
Due to the importance of ensuring that residents are kept dry, the facility is being cited this date for not having the appropriate number of incontinence products to meet the residence needs.
Based on investigation observations and interviews which were conducted and record review(s), the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be Substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. |
