32 | On 4/8/24 LPA Laird conducted two staff interviews at the facility with S1 and S2. S1 and S2 stated they do not give medications to children. S1 and S2 stated medications are stored in the administration office and are only given by the owner or director. S1 stated they did not give medications to C1. S1 stated staff will give the children candy when they use the bathroom or are helpers. S1 stated they had given C1 candy for helping clean. S1 stated the candy was red and may have been cherry flavored.
On 4/8/24 LPA Laird conducted two children interviews at the facility with C2 and C3. C2 and C3 stated they get "treats" for using the "potty". C2 and C3 stated they don't get medicine at school. C2 and C3 stated they do get medicine at home, but have not gotten medicine at school. C2 and C3 stated they like their school and feel safe.
Based on observations and staff and children interviews, it could not be determined staff administered medications without parental consent.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
