25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 10:30am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Emilia Grisak. LPA met with applicant Linda Heredia. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. The residence is a four bedroom/ two bath single story home. There are two adults and two minors currently living in the home.
The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: kitchen, dining room, living room, all bedrooms including master bedroom and master bath, and storage room. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of baby gates and door knob covers. Poisons are not present at this time but applicant stated that they will be locked in a container. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The children will use the backyard as the primary outdoor play area. The backyard is not completely fenced at this time but a fence is currently being installed, therefore, the applicant understands that constant supervision must be provided while children are outside until the fence is completely installed. The front yard is completely fenced when front gate is closed. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Home, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. |
