25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 1:45pm by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kirk Marks. LPA met with applicant, Shelly Caperello. The applicant is requesting a license for school age children, with a capacity of 6. The facility will operate Monday - Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. The facility has three sections and one bathroom for children and one staff bathroom.
The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: Downstairs with office space and laundry room, infant area and preschool area. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locking safety gates and door locks. There is a kitchen to store and prepare meals. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the staff restroom.
The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There is an age appropriate play area children to play in. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in a cabinet in the hallway. The stairs are barricaded with a locked door. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 8 children and outdoor space for 11 children. There is one toilet and one sink available for children. The fire inspection was completed for a total of 6 children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 6.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. |
