A pre licensing inspection was conducted today at 8:15am by Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA), B. Mendez and E. Laird. LPA's met with applicant, Lacey Tweedt. The applicant is requesting a license for 20 infants. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:15pm. The facility has 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms (1 child, 1 staff).

The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: kitchen and office. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of gate. There is a kitchen to store/prepare meals. There is a nap room for infants to sleep with 7 cribs available and 13 cots/mats in the nap room. The isolation area for sick children will be located in a isolated area of the classroom. The changing table is located in the bathroom.

The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There are currently no play structures, they are in the process of putting them together and adequate cushioning is being purchased. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in the kitchen in a cabinet near the stove. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.

A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 22 infants and outdoor space for 20 infants. There is 1 toilet and 1 sink available for children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 20.

LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.
