25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 10:15am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mendez and LPA Laird. LPA met with applicant Lacey Tweedt. The applicant is requesting a license for preschool with a capacity of 38. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:15pm. The facility has 1 classroom and there are 3 toilets for children and 1 staff bathroom.
The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: kitchen. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of baby gate. There is a kitchen to store and prepare meals. Children will nap on cots in the classroom The isolation area for sick children will be located in the classroom in a isolated area. The changing table is located in the classroom and next to the sink.
The outdoor play area is fully fenced. Play structures are in the process of being purchased and being set. there is adequate cushioning underneath. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in the kitchen cabinet near the stove.There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 36 children and outdoor space for 42 children. There are 3 toilets and 3 sinks available for children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 36.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.
