25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 10:10 AM by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Helton. LPA met with facility representative Christine McAdams. The applicant is requesting a license for school-age children, with a capacity of 51. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM to 5:45 PM. The facility has 2 Classrooms, 1, 5 stall bathroom for children and 1 private bathroom for staff.
The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: staff room, kitchen, and storage room. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of high locks on doors. There is a main kitchen in this section of the building to store/prepare meals. If a child becomes ill, the child will be separated from other children, if there is no space for them to separate in the school age rooms, there is a "soft room" that can be used in the preschool area of the building.
The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There are picnic tables and school age appropriate games outside for children to play. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in garage section of the building. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
