25 | On December 2, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Deborah Khashe conducted an unannounced inspection. LPA met with licensee Deborah Arledge and provided her with a copy of the Family Child Care Home Entrance Checklist. LPA observed 5 preschool children and 2 Infants supervised by licensee Deborah Arledge and assistant Emily Watson. The day care operational hours are Monday-Friday from 7AM to 6PM. Children are served breakfast, lunch, and PM Snack. Water is served throughout the day by water cups.
All adults subject to criminal background review have obtained criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children. LPA and Licensee toured the facility during the inspection. The off limit area of the home include are the master bedroom, the first bedroom on the right, garage, and backyard sheds per Licensee’s request. Off limit areas are being made inaccessible by closed locked doors, baby gates and SUPERVISION. Licensee acknowledge that day care children are not allowed to go to off-limit areas. The on-limits areas in the home include kitchen ,dining room, laundry room, hall bathroom, family room and bedroom 2 deck and back yard. LPA observed the required postings and a working phone. 2A10BC fire extinguisher meets regulations.
