25 | Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tiffanie Diep met with Applicant, Sarah Kelly for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing inspection. Applicant requests an infant license to serve 12 infant children from birth to two years of age and 12 toddlers age 18-36 months under the Toddler Option Program. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The facility will be providing breakfast, lunch, snacks. formula, and baby food.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with applicant and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are two infant classrooms and one toddler classroom. AS observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, high chairs, cubbies, napping cots, and 12 cribs. Applicant will send photo of crib room to AS. The first aid kit and medication in the sick room. AS observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Applicant stated there will be a water pitcher and cups available in the classroom. AS observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in the multipurpose. AS observed a sign-in/sign-out binder.
