25 | On 3/10/2023 at 11:15am a Required-1 Year inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. At 11:30am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee was supervising three children, and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The licensee understands that 24 hour care to one child is not allowed. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home is the garage, and made inaccessible by a lock. The children use the backyard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There is an in ground pool in the back yard. The pool is fully fenced with a wooden lattice fence. There are three windows that have direct access to the pool. There are window locks on the windows to prevent them from being opened more than 4 inches.
Five (5) children's records were reviewed at 11:55am. Two staff records were reviewed at 11:30am.
There are currently three adults living in the home. The Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
