A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 11:50am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laura Chavez. LPA met with licensee Xochitl Prado. The inspection is made in response to the licensee's request for a change of location and increase in capacity of 14. The facility will operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The licensee understands that 24 hour care to one child at one time is not allowed. The residence is a 3 bedroom/3 bath single story home. There are 2 adults and 2 minors currently living in the home.

The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: the 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and garage. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of door latches. No poisons were observed in the home. The licensee understands that any poison brought to the home must be locked.

The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. A switch plate cover has been installed to prevent the gas fireplace located in the dining area to be operated. The licensee understands that the fireplace shall be securely barricaded should it be used while children are in care. The children will use the backyard as the outdoor play area. The backyard is completely fenced. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises.

On this date, 10/3/2024, the California Attorney General - Megan’s Law website was searched for information on sex offenders required to register with local law enforcement under California's Megan's Law. No registered sex offenders were found at the facility addresses. Under state law, some registered sex offenders are not subject to public disclosure; therefore, they may not have been included in this search. However, the Department conducts a monthly cross reference of each address on record for all registered sex offenders against all CCLD facility addresses pursuant to information shared by California DOJ.

Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org site, a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with licensee Xochitl Prado.

The following items need to be completed prior to the granting of license:

1. Approved fire inspection.
2. Facility Sketch (Yard).
3. Secure loose fence boards located in the outdoor play are.
4. Barricade areas which allow children to access behind the shed located in
