On 5/24/24 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Monica Mathur and Kareeca Sykes conducted a Case Management inspection at Valle Verde Children's Center. LPAs met with Director, Christine Muller.

Director requests temporary use of Valle Verde Elementary school classroom C-1 which is not an approved room on their license; to accommodate TK-K children from May 28-June 5, 2024 while the licensed room is closed for new flooring and renovations. Room will be used from 12:15pm - 2:30pm on M/T/Th/F and from 12:15pm - 1:30pm on Wednesday. The program will close for summer break on June 1-7 and return on June 10, 2024.

LPA inspected room C-1, it was observed to be safe, secure with no hazards which could pose a risk to health and safety of children in care. There is a back door in the room that opens into a pod classroom. Director stated children will not go into the pod room and the door will stay locked. They will also use the adjacent boys/girls bathrooms outside C-1 during this period. LPA reminded that 100% visual supervision is required when children are using C-1 room and bathrooms.

Room C-1 and adjacent bathrooms are approved for temporary use from May 28-June 5, 2024 only.

No deficiency was cited today. This report was reviewed by Director, Christine Muller. A Notice of Site Visit was issued, must be posted to 30 days.
