10:00am Licensing Program Analysts Tasha Alexander met with licensee Maria Alvarado for an unannounced ANNUAL 1 YEAR/REQUIRED inspection. Present for the inspection were licensee, and 5 children in care, consisting of 2 infants and 3 preschool age. 2 which are the licensee's own grand children who reside in the home. LPA toured the facility and backyard for a health and safety inspection. Licensee is unable to locate the children's files today. The home is equipped with a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke alarm and working carbon monoxide detector. Both were tested today. There is a working telephone in the home, no change in phone number. There are no firearms located on the premises per licensee. There are no swimming pools or other bodies of water. All poisons, cleaning solutions and medications are inaccessible to children and are located in the off limits laundry room on a shelf. Licensee has current CPR and 1st Aid training cards which expire 1/2023 respectively. The off limits areas are the master bedroom/bath, daughter's bedroom, and laundry room. Licensee was also informed of the licensing web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms and (www.myccl.com) to register to receive child care updates.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

A review of staff records on 3/30/22 indicates that all facility staff or other individual who required caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions.
