25 | On 08/01/2025 at approximately 01:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jamel Maiwandi conducted an unannounced required 3 year visit and met with Program Director Kim Jones and explained the purpose of the visit. Hours of operation are from 09:00am-01:30pm Monday to Friday.
There are three classrooms located in the facility (#1,#2,#3) with 5 children present and 2 staff present, with 23 preschool children enrolled. All staff members present received criminal record clearance from the California Department of Social Services. The facility is within its capacity limits and ratios for today’s visit.
LPA observed that all required documents, such as the facility license, notification of parents’ rights, personal rights, car seat laws, emergency disaster plan, and daily activities schedule, were displayed and visible to the public.
The most recent emergency disaster drill was conducted in 06/2025, and the LPA observed that it was documented. LPA reminded Program director emergency disaster drills must be conducted every 6 months.
The facility was observed to have one first aid kit, one smoke detector, one carbon monoxide detector, one fully charged fire extinguisher, and an emergency disaster kit in the kitchen, of the facility and in each classroom. Program Director tested the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and found them both functioning.
LPA inspected the indoor and outdoor areas to identify health and safety hazards. The facility was clean, safe, sanitary, and in good repair. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons, and other items that could pose a danger were stored in areas inaccessible to the children. All accessible cabinets and drawers in the classrooms were found to be free of hazardous materials or poisons.
