On 3/14/225 at 10:15AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Catherine Fernandes and Indira Loza arrived to the home on another matter and conducted on a case management inspection- deficiencies. LPAs met with Licensee Maria Chipres, present in care were two infants and three preschoolers.

Upon entering the child care LPAs knocked on the first door after entering through the gate on the left side of the house and observed two infants and two preschoolers in care. LPA observed the licensee was using a converted garage to care for the children which is an off limit area to children. Licensee stated "she has been using the garage for about two to three days because it has been raining."

LPAs did a walk through of the converted garage and inspected the space, as of today LPAs have cleared the garage as an on limit area that can be used as an extra activity area for the children in care.

Around 11:50am, LPA Loza observed a preschooler in a high chair crying and banging his/her head against the back of the high chair. Licensee confirmed that this is the way she provides lunch to the child, because if not then the child would walk around and she would have to follow the child and feed the child. Licensee also stated that at times the child likes to climb into the high chair and will eat lunch without crying.
