25 | 9:00AM Licensing Program Analyst Tasha Alexander met with licensee Desiree Lopez to reactivate the current license and an ANNUAL/REQUIRED inspection. Licensee, her husband Ruben Lopez, and their 2 sons, 1 teenager and 1 preschool age are present for the inspection. LPA toured the facility and backyard for a health and safety inspection. There are no children's files to review. The home is equipped with a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke alarm and working carbon monoxide detector. Both were tested today. There is a working telephone in the home, no change in phone number. There is a firearm/weapon in the home that is located in the off-limits upstairs master bedroom closet. The ammunition is stored separately in a locked box. There are no swimming pools, hot tubs, or other bodies of water. All poisons, cleaning solutions and medications are inaccessible to children in care and are located in the off limits laundry room, on a high shelf. Licensee has current CPR and 1st Aid training cards which expires 7/10/2024 respectively. The off limits areas are the entire upstairs which includes 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a loft; the laundry room and garage. Licensee was also informed of the licensing web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms and (www.myccl.com) to register to receive child care updates.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
