On 9/7/23 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monica Mathur conducted an unannounced Subsequent Complaint Investigation at KId Time Inc. and met with Director, Streeta Farrell. Complainant alleges that children are exposed to excessive outdoor heat.
During course of investigation LPA conducted facility inspection, observations, record review, interviews and obtained documents. Staff and children interviews reveal facility is a play-based school, children spend a lot of time outside. Class daily schedules show children are outside up to 3-4 times every day. Director states they continually gauge hot weather, open shaded breezeway or come inside when it reaches 85-90 degrees outside. Staff and children stated when it very hot, they play in the shaded breezeway, do water activities, drink water, or come inside in Pizza Pup and Ruff Dog rooms. Information did not determine there was or wasn't an incident when children remained outside exposed to extreme hot weather.

Based on the interviews and information obtained throughout the investigation, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED which means although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur. No Deficiency has been cited for this allegation. Exit interview conducted with Director, Streeta Farrell.

A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST BE POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
