Present during the inspection was the Licensee, two assistants, five (5) preschool age child and one (1) infant. Licensee is the only one living in the home. Licensee’s home was toured for a health and safety inspection. The facility operates from 7:30am – 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.
ON LIMITS AREA: Entry way, Hallway, living room (child care room), hall bathroom, 4th bedroom (infant nap room) and the play area in the backyard.
OFF LIMITS AREA: the master bedroom/bath, guest bedroom, office/bedroom, garage, left side of the back yard area which is separated from the play area by a fence.
ISOLATION AREA: Living Room (corner in the child care room)
The facility is a single-story home owned by the Licensee. The inside of the home was observed to be neat, clean with ample age-appropriate materials for the children. All toxins, cleaning products, and hazardous materials were observed to be in inaccessible areas. Licensee stated that she provides all food for the children. The facility does provide transportation for school age children. There are 3 dogs in the home. Per licensee, there are no firearms in the home.
There is one (1) fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher in the kitchen. There is one (1) working smoke detector/carbon monoxide combo in the childcare room, and one (1) outside of the childcare room, located in the hallway. The fireplace in the child care room is blocked by a bookshelf making it inaccessible to the children in care. Licensee uses highchairs and tables for eating. There are 2 play yards and 2 cribs used for sleeping. All napping equipment is clean, well maintained and in proper working order. The home is equipped with central heat and air. Licensee has also enclosed (built a playroom) on on-limits part of the backyard. It appears as an extension of the home (sun room), but can only be entered through the backyard. |
