25 | On 10/19/22, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Melissa Domantay and Melissa Guirit conducted a Prelicensing inspection today, for the new initial application for infant program with toddler option. LPAs met with Area Manager Birdie and Site Director, and toured all areas of the facility for a health and safety inspection. Present for today's inspection were 2 infants, 13 toddlers, and 7 staff. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00 pm. The measurements remain the same from previous ownership.
A fire clearance, with a total capacity of 9 infants, ages birth to 24 months, and 16 toddlers, ages 18 to 36 months from the Contra Costa County Fire Protection Department on 9/21/22.
LPAs observed that the classrooms has sufficient lighting and appears to be clean and in good condition. LPAs observed an ample supply of age appropriate activities, equipment and furniture. Infant and Toddler components operate in separate two classrooms, Room 1 is the infant classroom and Room 2A and Room 2B is the toddler classrooms. The facility has a total of 2 sinks and 2 toilets in the toddler classroom with a changing table that is within arms reach of a sink. The crib area has 5 cribs for crib-aged infants. The building has fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguishers, working fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector, and first aid supplies. There is a working telephone at the center. LPAs did not observe any hazardous items that would be accessible to children. Facility will provide breakfast, lunch, and snack. Facility will utilize electronic sign in/out.
LPAs observed the outdoor play area, which is fully fenced. There is sufficient cushion to absorb a child's fall under the play structure and play areas. LPAs observed ample amount of shade for children.
