32 | LPA observed the two outdoor play areas, which are fully fenced. Per applicant, the younger preschooler yard is still being completed. There are temporary play yards that they utilize which are also fully fenced where children can perform age appropriate activities with sufficient cushion. The main preschool play yard has sufficient cushion to absorb a child's fall under the play areas. LPA observed shaded areas for children on the play yards. The isolation area will be in the main office.
Children bring their own lunches and the facility provides morning and afternoon snack. Water is readily available to children indoors and outdoors.
Antonio Betts is considered a qualified Director with current CPR/First Aid, which expires 03//2024 and mandated reporter training's completed.

Mandated reporter and appeal rights, civil penalties, unusual incident reporting and fingerprint requirements were discussed today. LPAs reviewed responses and provided technical assistance including postings. Licensee is also being informed of the web address (www.ccld.ca.gov) for downloading child care forms, and the director is encouraged to email ChildCareAdvocatesprogram@dss.ca.gov to be included in the Child Care Quarterly Updates distribution list. The director is also reminded that mandated reporter training is required for all staff and is to be renewed every 2 years at www.mandatedreporterca.com.
A preschool license for a capacity of 79 children, will be given a provisional license until temporary fire clearance has a final clearance and is received by the Oakland Regional Office. There are no deficiencies being cited today. Exit interview conducted with applicant, Antonio Betts. |
