25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta and Kareeca Sykes conducted an unannounced Case Management visit. LPAs met with Danielle Wright. Licensee has requested her license be put on active status. There were no children in care today.
Licensee was put on inactive status on 9/16/24 due to the pool not being properly fenced.
During today's inspection LPAs observed the pool to be properly fenced. The fence is now the required height of 5 feet. Licensee secured a wired material to the top of the mesh fence to make the fence 5 feet in height. Licensee has made the pool inaccessible to children by ensuring there are no gaps in the fencing surrounding the pool. The pool gate opens away from the pool. The gate is now self closing and self latching.
LPAs toured the home for a heath and safety inspection. The first floor of the home is on limits to children. The entire second floor of the home, laundry room and the garage are off limits to children. There are no firearms on the premises as stated by the licensee. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to children are stored and inaccessible to children. Stairs are gated. LPA verified that the fire extinguisher is fully charged. The home is equipped with both a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. Licensee has current CPR/First Aid which expires 04/2026.
The license for this home will be active effective 10/17/24
