25 | On 3/9/22 at 9:00 AM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Monica Mathur and Christina Watts conducted an announced Pre-licensing Inspection at Maria Rubio's home and met with Applicant, Maria Rubio who has applied for a Small Family Child Care Home with a capacity of eight (8). Days and hours of operation will be Monday – Friday from 7 am - 6 pm. There are 2 renters residing in two separate in-law units on the property. They are no children under age 18 in the home. Applicant completed 8 hour Preventative Health & Safety training, Nutrition and Lead Poisoning training, 8 hour Pediatric CPR & First Aid, has documentation for Measles, Pertussis, Influenza opt out statement for the current flu season. Applicant and adults living in the home have Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index Clearance and documentation for Tuberculosis (TB) clearance. Applicant rents the home. LPA reminded that when care for more than six and up to eight is provided, Applicant must notify parents and get landlord consent. Applicant will use the Affidavit Regarding Liability Insurance form to inform parents they do not carry a day care insurance. Applicant has a working telephone in the home.
Single story Home comprises of 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, Kitchen, Living/Dining room, Play room Areas to be used for day care: Entry area near kitchen, Play room, Living/Dining space, 1 bedroom for naps (middle room), bathroom in hallway, Kitchen.

LPA toured the indoor space of the home. The home is sanitary and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in the home. Fireplace is located in the Living Room and is barricaded. LPA observed fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke, carbon monoxide detector. Medicines, cleaning products, sharp objects are stored inaccessible to children in cabinets with latches and locks. Door access to off limit areas are locked. LPA reminded that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers and similar items are not allowed in family child care homes. Applicant states there are 2 pet cats and no arms and ammunition stored in the home. |
