25 | On 5/25/2022, at 9:25AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Melissa Guirit arrived announced on a Pre-Licensing inspection and met with applicant Yara Figueroa Chavez. There are no children in care during todays inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to grant a license for a small family daycare and to conduct a health and safety check. Operating hours will be 7:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday.
The home is a single family home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The on limit areas will be the two rooms in the front of the home, which will be used for child care, living room, hallway bathroom, and backyard. The off limit areas will be the four bedrooms, master bathroom, garage, laundry room, kitchen, right side yard, and middle yard area, which will be inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors or visual supervision. The ISOLATION AREA will be in the living room. Outdoor play area will be in two fenced in areas. The outdoor play area is split into four fenced areas. Two fenced areas will be used for child care (the area as you walk into the back and the left side yard. The middle outdoor area will be off limits for now until it is finished and will only be used as a walk way to the left side yard with supervision. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other bodies of water during today's inspection.
The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector in the hallway and a first aid kit. Applicant has a working telephone. Applicant's CPR and First Aid certificate is current and expires on 6/2023. Per applicant, there are no firearms in the home. Applicant was reminded of the responsibility as a mandated reporter and will provide proof of the required training for child care providers. Applicant has a current Mandated Reporter Training certificate that expires on 3/2024.
