25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta and Dealia Frison conducted an unannounced case management/increase of capacity inspection. Present during the inspection was the licensee, her fingerprint cleared husband 5 preschool aged children and 1 infant in care. Licensee has an approved fire clearance for up to 14 children dated 5/2/24.
LPAs toured the facility for a health and safety inspection. The on limit areas used for child care are the family room/ play room, bathroom located at the end of the hallway and bedroom #4 is the napping room. The fenced backyard is used as the outdoor play area. The on limits portion of the backyard is separated from the rest of the backyard by a three foot fence. There are age appropriate toys in the home. There are no pools, hot tubs or any other similar bodies of water at this home. There are no firearms in the home as stated by the licensee. LPAs did not observe any hazardous materials or toxins accessible to children today. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone in the home. The home has a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher.
Licensee owns the home, a copy of the mortgage statement was reviewed.
LPAs reviewed the ratio and capacity requirements for a large family child care home. Licensee understands that if an assistant is not present she must follow the ratio and capacity for a small family child care home.
The requested increase of capacity to care for up to 14 children is approved today, 5/8/24.
Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days.
