25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cherie Acosta and Kayla Merchant conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection. Present during today’s inspection was the licensee, her fingerprint cleared husband and minor child that is not counted in the ratio.
The home was toured for Health and Safety Inspection. During the inspection the licensee requested the dining room to be on limits to children in care. The dining room was observed to be safe for children and is approved to be on limits to children in care effective today. On limits area used for child care are the first floor bedroom, first floor bathroom, TV room/playroom, dining room and kitchen. The remainder of the home is off limits to children in care. Off limits areas will be made inaccessible by use of gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. There are no pools, spas, hot tubs, or any other similar bodies of water at this home. There are no firearms on the premises as stated by the licensee. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to children are stored and inaccessible to children. The home has a fireplace that is located in the off limits area of the home. LPA verified that the fire extinguisher 3A40BC is fully charged. The home is equipped with both a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. There is a working telephone in the home. The home provides appropriate toys, learning materials and play equipment. Outdoor play area is fenced. Licensee is currently remodeling the backyard. The left side of the yard has debris and is blocked off by use of a tarp. Licensee was informed that 100% supervision is required during outdoor play due to remodeling. Licensee shall contact CCL when remodeling is complete for an inspection.
The licensee is operating within the licensed capacity. LPA did not observe any child left without supervision during the inspection. |
