On 02/25/2025 at 10:45AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Kareeca “Reeca” Sykes conducted a Case Management Inspection for YMCA OF THE EAST BAY - KIDS CASTLE ELC. During today's inspection, there were 64 children in care ( 31 infants and 33 preschool aged children) with 13 teachers in 5 classrooms. Director stated there are 78 children enrolled. All staff present and caring for children have Criminal Record Clearance.

LPA is following up on 3 citations given to the facility on 02/20/2025 for Operating out of Ratio and Personal Rights. On 02/25/2025, During today's inspection LPA reviewed files, toured the facility which LPA did not observe the facility operating out of ratio. LPA also observed all required documentation needed to be posted. While reviewing files LPA confirmed that Director has all Director qualifications. Director Patricia Taylor has completed and submitted all plan of corrections on 02/21/2025.

AS OF 02/24/2025, ALL PLAN OF CORRECTIONS HAVE BEEN CLEARED AND RECEIVED CLEARANCE LETTER.

There were no regulatory violations observed during today's inspection.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Patricia Taylor. A Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 consecutive days.
