Enforcement Analyst (EA) Megan Vigil met virtually via Microsoft Teams with multiple levels of staff to review home care organization (hco) compliance requirements. Introductions were made, and all attendees identified their names, titles, and roles within the organization.
EA recommended maintaining home care aide (hca) files in the California office based on previously identified compliance issues. Christopher Tapia, Designee/Chief Executive Officer, and Ben Fisher, Chief Operating Officer, explained that Brentwood Staff Coordinators will work with Human Resources headquarters to maintain hca files and conduct internal audits, coordinated by Kathy Rupian, Compliance Specialist.
EA reviewed hca file requirements, including tuberculosis (TB) clearance, proof of clearance, training requirements, and the importance of ensuring all requirements are met before aides provide client services. Allpro stated they have implemented an additional level of internal review before employees are marked as active.
Industry compliance trends were also discussed, resources will be provided, and staff were given the opportunity to ask questions.
Overall, the meeting was productive, and Christopher Tapia expressed Allpro's commitment to strengthening compliance and ensuring ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
