25 | On 1/21/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Leslie Ibo arrived unannounced to conduct an infection control annual required inspection. LPA met with Gilbert Villota, caregiver. LPA called Administrator around 10:35AM to inform the purpose of the visit, Administrator arrived at the facility at 11:45AM . Facility has census of 6.
LPA inspected the physical plant with caregiver Gilbert , but not limited to the kitchen, dining area, resident bedrooms, bathroom, laundry room, and backyard. LPA observed there is sufficient furniture and lighting throughout the facility. LPA observed there is a seven-day non-perishable and two day perishable food supply, and cleaning supplies and toxins were locked. Medications are centrally stored in a locked area that is inaccessible to clients and refilled every at least 30 days. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide were in operating condition during visit.
Facility has enough paper supplies and hygiene supplies but facility need to add more PPE supplies. There is one central entry point for universal screening for staff, residents and visitors. A sign-in policy, thermometer and hand sanitizer were observed at screening station. Cough/sneeze etiquette, social distancing and hand washing posters were observed. Facility staff were observed to be wearing proper PPE. Facility has a mitigation plan and maintains record of routine screening for residents and staff.
No deficiency cited during the visit, technical assistance was provided.
