13 | Licensing Program Analyst Erwina Pascual-Golamco (LPA) met with Director, Jacklyn Todd, to deliver findings. LPA toured the facility, including all activity and classroom spaces, and outdoor play areas. Director was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations, and capacity specified on the license.
It was alleged that day care child sustained unexplained injury while in care due to lack of supervision. Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA toured the facility, observed staff provide care to children, reviewed documentation, and conducted interviews. LPA interviews, witness statements, and documentation revealed that the facility follows the 12 children to 1 staff ratio, and sometimes 9 children to 1 staff ratio. During outdoor play, they have staff at each point of the playground, and children are not unattended. Parents/Guardians are notified through phone calls, messaged through ProCare App, and written reports given when a child sustains an injury while in care. Although an incident occurred when a child sustained an unexplained injury, the facility communicated with the parents/guardians and documented an injury report.
