On 10/18/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jeovanna Yanez arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced complaint inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to deliver investigation findings for the above allegation. LPA met with Acting Site Supervisor, Veronica Ordaz Gonzalez, and a census was taken. During the course of this investigation, LPA reviewed pertinent records and conducted interviews with staff, parents, and children in care.

Regarding “Staff engaged in a verbal altercation in the presence of day care children”, documentation received and interviews conducted revealed an incident occurred on 07/28/2023, where Staff #1 and Staff #2 were engaged in a verbal altercation in front of day care children during operating hours.

Based upon information gathered through interviews and record review, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, the following deficiencies are being cited (see 9099-D).
