On 01/09/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aurelio Mendoza conducted an unannounced complaint inspection to deliver findings regarding allegations received by the Child Care Licensing Division on 10/21/2024:

1. Staff hit child in care.
2. Staff caused injuries to child in care.

LPA met with Director Lisa Cervantes-Whited, toured the facility, and conducted a census. As part of the investigation, LPA interviewed the reporting party, facility staff, children, and parents. LPA also conducted facility observations during complaint inspections on 10/24/2024, 01/07/2025, and 01/09/2025 and reviewed facility records.

The investigation did not produce sufficient evidence to meet the preponderance of evidence standard to support the allegations. Interview statements contained inconsistencies and did not corroborate that staff hit a child or caused injuries to a child.

Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is no preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations occurred; therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiencies are being cited today.

An exit interview was conducted with Director Lisa Cervantes-Whited. A copy of this report and Appeal Rights were provided and discussed. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit was provided to Director Lisa Cervantes-Whited and must be posted for 30 days.
