25 | On 9/23/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Priscilla Zamudio conducted a case management-licensee initiated inspection. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Monica Wicks and toured the facility inside and outside. The purpose of the visit was to inspect preschool classroom #20 and update information on license. Licensee requested to update the age on the license to 2-6 years old and maintain the same capacity at 24. This preschool program is located at Malaga Elementary School and operates Monday through Friday, AM Class 8:00am-11:00am, PM Class 12:00pm-3:00pm.
LPA and Site Supervisor discussed additional services that will be provided to younger children which will include Toilet training and diapering. LPA observed an area designated for diapering with a cushioned mat and sanitizing materials kept out of reach of children. The classroom equipment and toys were clean, in good repair and appropriate for younger children. Site supervisor stated they will possibly provide additional soft toys for younger 2 year olds. In the outdoors, the play structure showed a manufacturer’s sticker for children ages 2-5. An updated fire clearance was granted on 9/19/24 to include children ages 2-6 years old.
Updated handouts will be provided to parents and authorized representatives of newly enrolled children. LPA and Site Supervisor also discussed the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov which will provide access to Provider Information Notices (PINS), Quarterly Updates, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations.
Per Chapter 1, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, there were no deficiencies observed. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Site Supervisor, Monica Wicks. |
