On 2/6/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brandon Tate conducted an Annual Random inspection for the preschool license. Upon arrival, LPA Tate was met by Office staff to sign in to the visitor list. LPA Tate introduced himself and explained the reason for today’s visit. LPA Tate walked through the campus to the preschool class and was met by designated facility representative Mee Moua. The licensed facility was inspected inside and outside. Record review showed a current fire clearance. A census was taken of 14 children present. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 0800 – 1100 and 1200 – 1500.

LPA Tate inspected the licensed facility’s indoor activity space. LPA Tate observed age-appropriate toys for children in care. The facility was maintained to regulatory standard cleanliness and LPA Tate did not observe any hazards or sharp objects that could potentially harm children in care. LPA Tate observed sufficient cubby space for children and personal belongings were kept separate. LPA Tate observed children’s lunch bags and personal items with the child’s names written for identification. There was a functioning carbon monoxide alarm and fire extinguisher within the indoor activity space. LPA Tate observed drinking water accessible to children and record review showed that lead testing has been conducted for the licensed facility. LPA Tate inspected the restroom and observed the restroom to be clean and sanitized. There was functioning sinks and toilets within that were temperature compliant with California Code of Regulations. LPA Tate observed sufficient toilet and sink ratio for children in care. LPA Tate did not observe any hazards that could potentially harm children in care.

The outdoor activity area was inspected by LPA Tate and age-appropriate play structures were observed during today’s inspection. The outdoor play area was fenced and at least 4 feet in height. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. Play structures were free from rust and debris. There were no sharp or protruding objects observed. All play equipment was functional, and no rust was observed. Upon inspection of the shared outdoor play area, it was observed by LPA Tate that there was a trash can filled approximately halfway with trash and did not have a trash bag within or a trash can cover. This poses a potential health, safety, or personal rights violation to children in care.
