25 | On 09/19/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aurelio Mendoza conducted an unannounced Annual/Required inspection for the infant license. LPA met with Director Erin Ortiz and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. The facility operates Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, year-round.
All poisons were securely stored, and no hazardous materials were observed. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medications, and other harmful items were kept out of children's reach. There are no swimming pools, bodies of water, firearms, or ammunition on the premises.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and playground equipment is safe and hazard-free. The outdoor area is well-maintained, with cushioned surfaces under climbing equipment, swings, and slides. Toilets and handwashing facilities are safe and sanitary. A carbon monoxide detector is functioning. Floors are clean and solid waste containers have tight-fitting lids.
Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors through personal bottles, with disposable cups provided if needed. The facility also provides meals and snacks.
The facility operates within its licensed capacity and maintains the required teacher-child ratios. At least one staff member trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid is always present, both on-site and during offsite activities. A director or qualified teacher is designated in the director’s absence, and all children are under continuous visual supervision.
LPA reviewed a sample of children's files and found them complete with required contact and medical information. Staff files were in compliance with health screenings, immunization records, and mandatory training. |
