On 04/24/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ka Vang conducted an unannounced case management inspection to follow-up the unusual incident report to the Department. LPA toured the facility, and a census was taken. LPA met with by Site Supervisor Erlinda Berber. The purpose today's inspection was to follow-up an unusual incident that occurred on 04/02/2024, in which the ceiling, walls, and carpet of Classroom 2 have been damaged by water. This incident was reported to the Fresno Community Care Licensing Office on 04/07/2024 by MSOL Organizational Leadership Program Director Hanadi Rousan.

Hanadi reported that on 04/02/2024, staff observed that the ceiling, walls, and carpet of Classroom 2 was damaged by water due to the raining season. Hanadi stated that the facility reached out to Servpro of Fresno Northwest on 04/03/2024, and Servpro were scheduled to remove and repair the carpet, the ceiling and wall panels to prevent any health and safety of the children in care. On 04/09/2024, Hanadi reported to the Department that the repaired was completed as the ceiling, walls and carpet were replaced. There was no alteration of the classroom.

During today’s case management inspection, LPA inspected and observed Classroom 2. A new carpet, ceiling and wall panels were replaced in the area that it was damaged by water. LPA did not observe any water damage on the carpet, ceiling, and the wall panels. LPA observed the classroom did not pose any hazard, health, or safety to the children in care. Facility submitted proof indicated of the carpet, walls, and ceiling panels have been repaired.

Per California Code of Regulations Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency cited during today's visit. Exit interview conducted with the Site Supervisor Erlinda Berber.
