25 | On October 9, 2022, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) K. Vang and C Brannon, conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection for the School Age license. Licensee had requested LPA to measure the two classrooms and review the school age restroom. LPAs met with Director, Tia Lam, and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Director verified facility phone number is (559) 252-6445.
The school age area consists of one large room that is broken into three areas. One area is used for storage. The other two areas are used for school age children classrooms.
LPA reviewed with director, Tia Lam, that any future changes to the classrooms are required to ensure that furniture does not tip over on to children, the furniture are to be anchored or situated that tipping does not occur. Classroom changes of furniture shall be situated that 100% visual supervision is always provided to children in care. Per Tia Lam, bathroom procedures when taking school age children to the restroom shall ensure only one gender at a time to use the restroom.
Room measurements were taken and reviewed with director, Tia Lam. The total inside preschool area measured to an approximate 1647 square feet which will accommodate the licensed capacity of 30 school age children at a time. There is adequate storage space available for children's belongings in the classroom. Director understands that children's equipment needs to match the licensed capacity.
There is a total of two stalled toilets and 4 sinks/hand washing fixtures which will accommodate the licensed capacity of 30 school age children. Licensee made changes to ensure no commingling with preschool and school age children when using the restroom. After the changes, facility has two restrooms; one for the preschool and one for the school age programs. Licensee installed a child gate in the hallway that houses the two restrooms. The gate divides the two restrooms.
