25 | On 01/12/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Yesenia Fierro conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with Director Emily Kemble who toured the outside with LPA. A census was obtained, there were zero children in care during todays inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to inspect a new outdoor music amphitheater. LPA observed thee (3) music instruments (Serenade, Merry and Swirl) all music instruments are metal and are bolt and cemented into the ground. The new music amphitheater is designed for children between the ages of 3-5yrs.
LPA observed the music instruments are 24 inches away from the wall and 40 inches or more apart from each other. LPA observed the outdoor activity space surface is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Play structures are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. LPA reminded Director to ensure that manufacturer’s instructions are always followed at all times when using the play structures and to discuss with staff best practices for maintaining visual supervision when children are playing outdoors.
Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiencies cited during today's visit.
An exit interview was conducted with Director Emily Kemble and a copy of this report was provided and discussed. A Notice of Site Visit Form (LIC 9213) was posted on parent's board and must remain posted for 30 days. |
