On 11/3/22 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joseph Pacheco arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced Case Management inspection. The reason for the inspection was to follow up on multiple unusual incidents that were reported to the Fresno Child Care Regional Office.

On 8/25/22 facility reported that Child #1 was riding a tricycle when another child came up and pushed Child #1 off the tricycle causing them to hit the back of their ear against a play house. Redness was observed but no other visible bumps or bruises. Staff #1 applied ice to Child #1 and contacted their authorized representative who declined further medical treatment.

On 9/14/22 Child #2 was outside in the play yard pushing a tricycle when they lost their balance and fell down hard sustaining a scrape and bruise to the right side of their forehead, eye and nose. Staff #2 applied first aid by putting an ice pack on the wounds and contacted Child #2’s authorized representative who came to pick up Child #2 but declined further medical treatment. Child #2 was kept home by their authorized representative on 9/15/22 as a precaution and returned to care on 9/16/22.

These appear to be isolated incidents and staff took appropriate measures to address each child's injury, following appropriate policies, regulations and reporting requirements.

Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Maria Padilla.

This report shall be made available to the public upon request. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
