Areas around high climbing equipment and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls.
All infants changing tables are in safe and sanitary operating condition. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. Licensee stated that day care parents bring the infant food and formula. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. During inspection, LPAs observed the infants milk bottles, baby food and juice were stored in the refrigerator but it was not label with the infant names and dated. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. The facility is free of flies, insects, and rodents.
There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Fire drills are conducted and documented with the date, time and how many infant present, every six months.
