25 | On 3/20/23 an unannounced Annual inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Caroline Harris. LPA met with Director, Amanda Tuller and toured the facility, both indoors and outdoors. The LPA observed all required licensing forms to be posted in a visible location for authorized representatives to view them. A census was taken and there were 91 day care children present. This facility runs from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Snacks are provided in the AM and PM, and meals are eaten in the classrooms. Menus are posted at least one week in advance, where an authorized representative can view them. Firearms/weapons or ammunition are not allowed or stored on the premises. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision, of a teacher at all times. There is a ratio of one teacher supervising no more than 12 children in attendance. The LPA did not observe disinfectants, cleaning solutions and other dangerous items to be inaccessible to children. There were no poisons observed on the premises accessible to children. Licensee is aware that poisons are required to be locked and inaccessible to children. All materials and surfaces accessible to children are toxic free. All toilets, hand washing, and bathing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating conditions. In classroom T2 LPA observed tears in a blue sofa and sand on the changing table. In classroom PS 1, Big Bears, LPA observed a blue sofa (broken up in three areas of the room) to be ripping and stains/faded, also sand on the changing table. There was also a tan rug in the bathroom that did not have gripping on the bottom, causing it to move when standing on it and a large tan area rug that was dirty and had stains. In classroom PS 2, LPA observed a small blue chair that was ripping ,exposing sharp edges. LPA also observed in classroom PS 3, the screens on the windows (4) to need replacing/fixing. One screen was bent and was not fitting correctly, one screen had a large hole in it, another screen had a small hole in it and was bent. The forth screen was also bend. Three out of four windows were open. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide indicator, and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. |
