25 | On March 20th, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Julio Rodriguez conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPA met with Director Barbara Daniel. The purpose of today's inspection was to gather more information regarding an unusual incident report submitted to Community Care Licensing on February 12th, 2025.
During today’s inspection, LPA interviewed Director Barbara Daniel regarding the unusual report submitted involving a child pushing a shelf over which impacted another child. LPA visited the classroom and observed the teacher/child ratios are maintained, and adequate supervision is being provided. Furthermore, LPA observed that classroom furniture had been rearranged and staff had implemented preventative measures by securing the tall shelves against the wall in the classroom and placing connectors on the shelves. Additionally, the facility has provided support and resources to the child’s parents to address the child’s needs. Although the incident occurred, it was determined to be an isolated incident, and staff took appropriate measures to address the incident following appropriate policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1 of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiency is being cited during today’s inspection.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Barbara Daniel. Appeal rights were provided.
This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
