On 09/23/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Aurelio Mendoza conducted an unannounced Required 3-Year inspection for the infant license. LPA met with Director of Operations Rebecca Dritz and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. The facility operates Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, year-round.

All poisons were securely stored, and no hazardous materials were observed. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medications, and other harmful items were kept out of children's reach. There are no swimming pools, bodies of water, firearms, or ammunition on the premises.

Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and playground equipment is safe and hazard-free. The outdoor area is well-maintained, with cushioned surfaces under climbing equipment, swings, and slides. Toilets and handwashing facilities are safe and sanitary. A carbon monoxide detector is functioning. Floors are clean and solid waste containers have tight-fitting lids.

Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors through personal bottles, with disposable cups provided if needed. The facility also provides meals and welcomes parents to bring formula and/or alternative meals while being conscious of expiration dates.

The facility operates within its licensed capacity and maintains the required teacher-child ratios. At least one staff member trained in CPR and Pediatric First Aid is always present, both on-site and during offsite activities. A director or qualified teacher is designated in the director’s absence, and all children are under continuous visual supervision.

LPA reviewed a sample of children's files and found them complete with required contact and medical information. Staff files were in compliance with health screenings, immunization records, and mandatory training.

During the inspection, LPA discussed key topics with Director of Operations Rebecca Dritz, including resources on the Community Care Licensing website and reporting requirements under Section 101212. Director of Operations Rebecca Dritz was reminded that all adults working in the facility must pass background checks, with potential fines for noncompliance.

LPA verified the facility completed lead testing per Assembly Bill 2370 and advised Director of Operations Rebecca Dritz to consult the Department website for more information.

For children with doctor-prescribed medication, an Incidental Medical Services (IMS) plan must be submitted, and staff must be trained in medication administration. Medication storage and equipment were found compliant. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. ADA information, including contacts for the U.S. Department of Justice, was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice) or (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication. Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA are available at: https://www.ada.gov/resources/child-carecenters/.

LPA informed Director of Operations Rebecca Dritz of the MyChildCarePlan.org website, which helps families find child care providers.

An exit interview was conducted with Director of Operations Rebecca Dritz, and the report was reviewed. No deficiencies were cited per Title 22 regulations. A LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit was provided and must be posted for 30 days. The report is available to the public upon request.
