25 | On 04/04/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Martha De Haro and Yesenia Fierro as well as Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Rene Mancinas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection for the preschool license. LPAs met with Director Lindsi Espinoza. LPAs toured the facility indoors and outdoors. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 6 pm. This is a full day program. LPA confirmed the phone number to the facility as 559-374-8577. Meals are prepared on site for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and are provided by the facility.
There is an inground/indoor swimming pool located in the back of the building, which is being used for storage. It is not being used and the door to the pool is locked at all times, with no access to the children. It is empty of water. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. No poisons were observed during the inspection.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. All toilets and handwashing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. The sink in one of the bathrooms was not functioning properly and the Director indicated that there was a work order for it to be repaired. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. The facility is free of flies, insects and rodents. Facility has one or more functioning carbon monoxide detectors that meet statutory requirements. LPAs were able to verify that fire drills are being completed at least once every 6 months. (continued on LIC 809C)
