25 | On 9/28/2023 Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Julie Baptista conducted a case management inspection at facility. During today’s inspection at 9:30 AM, no school-age children were at facility. School-age children arrive in the early morning and the facility provides transport to local schools. LPA Baptista conducted an inspection on 8/17/2023. During the inspection, LPA toured the facility and entered the preschool play yard. At 8:15 am on 8/17/2023, LPA observed 13 children playing in the preschool outdoor area with 2 staff in attendance. 10 of the children were preschool children and 3 of the children were school age. Staff stated that the 3 school-age children did not start school until next week when their school district resumes session. The children were playing in the sand together, climbing on the climbing structure by the slide, and sitting at a table conducting a play activity. Staff were observed supervising and talking with the children. The following is cited per Title 22 Regulations, Outdoor Activity space for school-age children shall be physically separated from space provided for other child care center children.
Per Chapter 1, Division 12, Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, the following deficiencies are found: (see next page 809-D). Exit interview was conducted with Office Manager, Raquel Moreno.
Licensee was provided a copy of appeal rights.
